Easy Exchanges and Returns

Need a new size? Want to try a different style? Changed your mind? No problem, we still LOVE you.

You have 30 days from delivery, and you can exchange for anything on the site, take store credit, or get a refund. You are not stuck swapping for the same item in another size.

Who pays the return shipping

It comes down to one thing.

If you added Free Returns + Package Protection to your order at checkout, we cover your return shipping. Exchange, store credit or refund, it does not matter which you pick.

If you did not add it, you cover the cost of shipping the item back to us.

It is a couple of dollars in your cart at checkout, and it covers you either way.

What we need from you

Start it within 30 days of delivery
Item must be in brand new, unworn condition with the tags attached, in the original bag
Free of stains, deodorant marks, perfume, makeup and pet hair
Nothing washed or worn can be accepted

Swimwear and intimates

Bikinis, swimwear and our 'You Want the V' shorts can be exchanged or returned like everything else. Because these sit close to the skin, we do need them back unworn, with the hygienic liner intact and in the original packaging. Once that liner comes off we cannot take the item back, so please try things on carefully.

Sale and Perfectly Imperfect items

These are discounted and usually discontinued, so we cannot offer a cash refund on them. You can still exchange them for anything on the site, or take store credit, so you are never stuck with something that does not fit.

If we got it wrong

If your item arrived damaged, defective, or it simply is not what you ordered, none of the above applies. That one is on us. Email info@violatethedresscode.com with your order number and a photo and we will make it right, including a full refund. You will never pay to send those back.

A note on shipping and processing fees

Shipping and processing fees from your original order are not refundable.
